Testomony from a fellow trainer

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Scott over the last eight years since. It all began at Eastwood Park Training, where I was the Medical Equipment Training Portfolio Manager. Scott is an excellent trainer and has a wealth of experience in Human Physiology and Medical Electronics to draw on which he was always keen to share in his teaching. The excellent feedback on the courses that Scott ran was proof of his depth and scope of knowledge. He was instrumental in co-developing all the training courses whilst modularizing the many topics of content related to the revised curriculum of the courses offered at Eastwood Park Training. This attracted delegates internationally as well as across the UK. Throughout his long career in the NHS, Scott has engaged with a wide range of medical device manufacturers, and this was instrumental in the success of equipping procurement for the new Training Centre at Eastwood Park.

It was for all the reasons above, that in my new role as Training and Quality Manager at de Smit Medical Systems Ltd, I had no hesitation in again engaging Scott’s involvement in the area of course development and Training. His technical knowledge and experience along with his understanding of clinical applications for medical equipment was paramount in engaging Scott as an independent consultant. As an Independent Consultant Scott began work on writing newly structured User Training courses for the Datrend range of biomedical test equipment, for which de Smit Medical Systems Ltd are the exclusive UK distributor. To be environmentally friendly these courses are designed to be delivered remotely, and flexible enough to be delivered face to face if needed. Both Scott and I have successfully delivered these courses and the feedback has been excellent.

I will indeed be continuously working with Scott for many more years to come.
